The ATP Agreement, " Accord Transport Perissable ", short for " Agreement on the International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs and on the Special Equipment to be Used for such Carriage ", concluded in Geneva in 1970 , is the regulation for the international transport of perishable food.
In details, ATP agreement:
- imposes certain rules in the construction of isothermal equipment for refrigerated transport;
- imposes certain requirements for the users;
- prescribes the types of perishable food to be transported in controlled temperature and the temperatures at which refrigerated transport and mechanically refrigerated transport should be performed, these limits are in line with those set by the Ministry of Health (Presidential Decree no. 327/1980 and Ministerial Decree 12.10.81) .
